5. Myxoid Degeneration

6. Sloughing Degeneration

Sloughing is different from degeneration itself. During sloughing, dead fibroid tissue may detach and pass through the cervix. It can sometimes cause cramping, discharge, bleeding, or an unpleasant odor.
